Your Voice Counts

Welcome…

Saturday 28 April 2012 is election day for our Local Council. Make an informed decision and choose the right candidate to represent you and our community. All residents need to ask questions of candidates and find out their true intentions for wanting to be in Council.

Our diverse community consists of working families, students, professionals, pensioners, self funded retirees, people with disabilities and their carers many of whom are struggling as the cost of rates and water increase.

The current Council is just not listening to residents and ratepayer’s money is being wasted. The people of Victoria Point and Coochiemudlo deserve better, as do all Redland residents. Focus needs to be back on people, jobs, small business and infrastructure.

Our population is growing and we need a realistic vision for our future. We need a competent Council made of up independent, intelligent people with fresh ideas who will ensure future is bright and development is balanced.

I will make a positive impact where I can. I promise to be a strong, sensible and effective voice in Council. I believe that ‘your voice counts’ and I will ensure that you are kept informed and have a say on important issues that will impact your lifestyle and future.

If you vote for me, I will listen to you. I am totally independent so my loyalty will be with you and your needs not the needs of those with personal agendas.

Safe Communities : 12/03/12

I think it’s clear that we all value our relaxed lifestyle here in the Redlands.

Our community is relatively safe with a low crime rate. However with our population growing, our demographic is changing. I fortunately know many of my neighbours and residents however many people do not. This is why it is so important that we stay informed and connected with each other. A good way to do this is to belong to a Neighbourhood Watch program to keep up to date with what is happening in your area and also be involved (even in a small way) with your local community groups…
